Can't wait to see Keane in Berlin.. Before seeing this and his version of "It's a hard life" I was so sure that absolutely noone should cover Bowie and/or Freddie. Now I think Tom and HSCC as well made masterpieces ❤

Its took me decades to realise this song is a master piece, written by freddie , it shows his sensitivity and illustrates the pain of love and life perfectly

After seeing Keane in concert last month which was amazing. I came across this, I’m blown away how great Tom is. He’s so underrated, he’s probably one of the best singers then and now. Freddie would have been so proud just like Brian may way. Bravo Tom Bravo 👏

🤭😄😄😄 Poor Richard, he seems genuinenly embarrassed, as he doesn't even know the lyrics🤭. But he is cute for trying 😊. And Tim on bass (going back to the roots of Keane😏) does a decent job. And so does Jesse on drums (he is actually pretty good at playing any instrument, including his voice), and Tom on keyboards (not sure about his singing though 🤔😉🥰)

Is that keyboard player having a fit?

This is an amazing performance and an absolute tribute to Freddie Mercury but I have to qui half way through. The way it is filmed makes me think I am on a boat.

By coincidence I came across this performance, even though it was recorded more then 10 years ago. Brian May’s reaction at the end of this clip says it all: this was an excellent performance as a whole and everyone loved it, including the other musicians. Tom Chaplin did not try to copy Freddie, but made his own version of “It’s a hard life” and I think that he did an incredible job. Well done!
